This is the story of two city girls (well, one is half country girl) moving from the city to the country. But this is really God’s story. We bought this house for the sole purpose of dedicating it to God and for Him to use it for His glory. Please join us in praying for God to use it in a very special way. It all belongs to Him.

For everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)

Many blessings

We have already created so many memories and we haven’t even been here 6 months!  What an incredible gift God has given to us. Each day seems to bring something new and exciting.  Here are a few photos from some recent activities at “The Farm.”

Our small group ladies, Monday Manna came over for a cook out /camp fire.

We've had visits from great friends (and yummy food)...

Our youth group came out and helped us to paint the fence to earn some money for Teen Revolution.  It was hard work but we had a lot of fun.  Some of us got a little more paint on ourselves than others.  LOL

We've seen some spectacular sunrises and sunsets...

Flowers blooming in the garden (and we've done a lot of gardening)...

We had our first photo shoot in the barn.

And a litter of kittens was born...

Chicken coop?

Well, we haven't started working on the chicken coop yet but we already have a name and a sign for it. Our plan is to get it painted and ready this fall so we can add the chickens next spring.  We will be painting it red.  However, the inside is a different story.  Half will be used as a garden shed but the other half will be a tropical oasis for our chickens.  I am not sure how it will look but I am thinking a pretty peach/apricot and blue.  Think Miami Vice.  Of course, it will have a DISCO BALL!  Many urban chicken coops these days are going for the chandelier but well, we like to be different. Anyone who knows me, knows my love for disco balls and Barry Manilow.  Coopa Cabana makes sense now doesn't it? The funny thing is, when I used to breed dogs, my kennel name was Cabana Shelties. So stay tuned...changes are coming.

“Coopa Cabana”

The hottest spot south of Gahanna (ok so I changed it up a little). Soon to be home of the Chicks: Pearl, Rhoda, Lola, Myrtle, Hazel, Harriett, Florence and and Henry McNuggett the rooster!  Maybe we should call him "Rico."

This video seems fitting for our chicken coop and it will give you a good laugh:  Techno Chicken!

Update: 7/27/15

We got the chicken coop tree!  I've been looking for the perfect Crimson King Maple as a big beautiful shade tree for the chicken run.  Ok so it needs to grow a little but I knew when I saw it...it was perfect!

It even survived a whopper of a storm in the first 24 hours!

 Still standing!
