This is the story of two city girls (well, one is half country girl) moving from the city to the country. But this is really God’s story. We bought this house for the sole purpose of dedicating it to God and for Him to use it for His glory. Please join us in praying for God to use it in a very special way. It all belongs to Him.

For everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)

Projects

Our lives are full of projects. It seems like we finish one and start 3 more. Here are a few little things we have been working on lately...

We found a cheap picnic table at Loews for $99 and with a little bit of apple cider/steel wool stain and paint, it looks pretty good.

Here are a few before and afters of the house.

Fall, 2016

We put in two wildflower gardens.  Most of them have already
sprouted so we will see how they look in the spring.

Found this cute bench at a thrift store

This cute ladder too

Barn Dance?

Last weekend we were invited to attend the Ashville 3rd Annual Old Fashioned Barn Dance.  It was our first.

I wasn't sure what to expect but what a hoot!

Most of the food was home made and out of this world.

Then we worked off the calories by square dancing.
Yes, square dancing.

There were a few wall flowers (for a while anyway).

It wasn't pretty but we had fun.

I love our small town.
I can't wait until next year!

Scenes From The Country

Selfie with Stella Mae
There is no special reason for this post other than to share a few photos that we've taken lately. Sometimes I just need a place to house them or share them.  They make me smile.

Everything about living in the country makes me smile. I am so very thankful to God for allowing us to enjoy the many blessings of living in the country.

I love the fresh air, the smell, the quiet, the stars, the wildlife, the colors, sitting on the front porch, bonfires, and yes, even the farm machinery that seems to take over our road during harvest time.

Of course, our fur and feather kids add a lot of enjoyment to the country life.

Oh and let's not forget FRESH EGGS!

Most of all, I love the sunrise.  There is something about the start of a new day that warms my heart.

Thanks God.
