This is the story of two city girls (well, one is half country girl) moving from the city to the country. But this is really God’s story. We bought this house for the sole purpose of dedicating it to God and for Him to use it for His glory. Please join us in praying for God to use it in a very special way. It all belongs to Him.

Chickens?

Yes, chickens!  I've been doing a little research on what chickens will fit best in our chicken coop and our lifestyle.  I LOVE the Silkies.  Ok, so they aren't the best egg producers but they are affectionate, silly looking little chickens. I think we need a few of them.  I know one of them will be named Pearl.  I have special plans for Pearl.  The rest of the ladies, well they will probably be Sussex and various Bantam chickens.  Their names are already picked out (at least some of them)....Gretchen, Beatrice and Mabel.  IF we have a rooster (to the chagrin of our neighbors), he will be known as Henry.

Isn't Pearl (to be) simply adorable? She just needs a little necklace to complete her attire.  :-)
