Wow! What a super
busy weekend. We worked inside and
outside to get things ready for the girls to spent their first night in the
coop. They survived. I was a nervous mamma hen peeking out the
window several times throughout the night.
I had the radio on, blinking lights and the windows and doors locked
down as tight as Fort Knox. I think it
would take a bear to break through some of those barriers.
I checked on them this morning and although it was a bit
chilly (only 55 degrees), they were ok.
Most were running around and ready for their breakfast. The heat lamp should hold them over until it
warms up today.
Whew! Being a mamma hen is hard work!
Here is a bit of the work we did this weekend and some pictures of the girls as they enjoyed their new home.
